Marketing & Communications Coordinator

Able to Serve is a faith-based nonprofit committed to equipping adults with disabilities to grow in independence and connect with opportunities to serve others in their community. 

About the Role

Able to Serve is seeking a creative and organized Marketing & Communications Coordinator to help share our story and expand our impact in the community. This role supports marketing efforts across digital media, events, and communications—helping connect families, donors, volunteers, and community members to our mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and schedule content for social media, email, website, and print
• Write, edit, and proofread communications, including newsletters, emails, and promotional materials
• Capture and share stories, photos, and videos that highlight program impact
• Assist in promoting events, fundraising campaigns, and new initiatives
• Design basic graphics and marketing materials (Canva/Adobe)
• Manage social media platforms and assist with website updates
• Track engagement metrics and support marketing performance reporting
• Support communication needs for events, including the Benefit Dinner and community fundraisers
• Help maintain marketing calendars, files, and communication systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 1–3 years of marketing or communications experience preferred
• Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Experience with social media, email marketing platforms, and design tools(Adobe Creative Suite, Canva)
• Familiarity with analytics tools (Google Analytics, email/social reporting) is a plus
• Photography and/or video skills preferred
• Passion for nonprofit work and storytelling
