Development Director

About the Role

Able to Serve is seeking a passionate and strategic Development Director to lead and grow our fundraising efforts during an exciting season of expansion. This leadership position is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy to support our mission and long-term sustainability. The Development Director will work closely with the Executive Director and Board to strengthen donor relationships and expand our community of support.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all fundraising efforts, including annual giving, major gifts, events, sponsorships, and grants
• Cultivate and steward relationships with individual, corporate, church, and foundation donors
• Support and help manage a capital campaign for a new facility
• Oversee donor database (DonorPerfect) and track engagement and performance
• Collaborate on donor communications and fundraising materials
• Provide development updates and support to Board members

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus
• 4–5+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience
• Proven success in donor cultivation and fundraising strategy
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Experience with donor management systems (DonorPerfect preferred)
• Passion for mission-driven, faith-based work
